Do not focus on being the best or the strongest. Focus on being the best and strongest version of YOU. Most people are too busy being concerned about what other people think and what other people are doing than to work on THEMSELVES. Every day, work to be a little better, a little stronger, and a little bit wiser.
The ONLY true competition is staring right back at you in the mirror. Set a goal to beat that person every single day.
Experts tell us that it takes approximately 30 days to create a habit. Bad habits are hard to break, but so are good ones. When you set a goal, organize it into three categories BE, DO, HAVE.
1. Who do I need to BE
2. What actions DO I need to take
3. What will I HAVE when I accomplish the above 2.
Most people rely on motivation as a strategy…BUT it’s just simply not effective long term.
Start by slowly adding productive habits; income-producing habits that will take you closer and closer to your goals. The challenge then becomes to do them until they become second nature, and it is simply a way of life. In the beginning it will take focus and determination, but once it becomes a habit, it will take less and less energy to accomplish.
Overtime, your daily-method-of-operation (DMO), the discipline, the actions and the habits will begin to compound creating successful and tangible results. Set a goal to get 1% better each day, in all the areas of your life, and expect to see a NEW YOU in just 3 or 6 months; and just imagine where you will be in a couple years when you successfully apply these simple strategies.
